Jonathan Adler is known for empowering customers to be their own interior designers. When we started partnering with them, they were on a growth path to becoming a global, industry-leading furniture brand. Our job was to ensure that the platform had enough flexibility and optionality for users to engage with the level of curation detail experienced in their brick-and-mortar stores, without overcomplicating or slowing down the path-to-purchase
We knew speed-to-market with an elevated user experience was our immediate priority.
Putting multiple workstreams in-flight, we worked to launch a seamless platform migration from SFCC to Shopify Plus across all channels (DTC, POS, B2B) and establish the foundation for scale at a brand and operations level. All while building out a design system and custom CRO features critical for the user journey (such as mobile layouts, custom furniture builder and advanced search merchandising capabilities).

Simplify a complex visual system to drive consistency and trust
Buying a large piece of furniture for a home is personal and a large investment of time researching. We created a scalable and modular design system that allowed for flexibility while ensuring brand consistency across the digital storefront. This simplified visual system ensured cohesion no matter where you are in the user journey.
Custom furniture selector
Part of what makes Jonathan Adler’s eclectic and vibrant furniture special is the ability to customize it to your tastes. Swatch selections dynamically update product imagery based on selections, giving customers an immediate visual of the exact product they're buying. The use of 3D renders make it possible to show the endless possibilities.
International expansion (U.S./U.K.) + POS setup with 10 stores
Jonathan Adler has several stores and showrooms located across the world. Our team established a comprehensive design system for the master brand, allowing us to build and scale a duplicate site for the U.K. in a matter of weeks. We leveraged the Shopify Plus ”Point-of-Sales” solution enabling customers to receive a seamless omnichannel experience, regardless of where they shop. All orders, across all channels, are now managed through the same fulfilment system – ensuring operational efficiency and inventory accuracy managed in real-time.
